I am a Theologian, who loves to share my thoughts, on all aspects of life. I also love to speak on sports and all of the athletic events. My views and opinions are usually biblically based, and factual. My passion for life and football, will too be evident. God Bless!

You have the power! I have the power. In many ways we are like super heroes. That comment was meant for those who are active believers in Christ. Not only that he died for our sins. But that he is alive as our Lord and has the power to create miracles for us. Many people believe in God. Yet forget that he has divine power. But, he gave us divine power as well. A common misconception among people that believe in God, is that they need to pray for God to do everything for them. From the minor to the large.
God had given Moses a staff and told him that he placed his power in that staff. He did not have to pray to God to create miracles. The power was in his hands. He prayed to God for the wisdom to make the correct choices. In Exodus 14 verse 15 and 16. God had told Moses "Why do you call to me. Tell the people of Israel to March. Lift up your Rod and divide the Sea. You shall go through the Sea on dry ground. He had the power to do this. That is why God asked him, "why do you call to me." In the book of 1 Samuel. David fought Goliath. Chapter 17 verse 45 David tells Goliath. "You come against me with a sword, a spear and a shield, but I come to you in the name of the Lord. In verse 46 he goes on further to say "On this day the Lord shall deliver you unto me." Hollywood has movies about Indiana Jones. He looks for the Arch. In the scriptures, the Arch posses God's power. When the children of God went to war, they would bring this arch. It was a box that posses God's power inside. During War God would say open up the Arch and let me out.
Today now as Christians we have Christ. He lives in our Hearts and the Holy Spirit is on Earth inside of us and protecting us. Once you become a believer in Christ. The Holy Spirit labels you to the spiritual world as one of his. The scriptures say we would have all the power of Christ. The Mormons send out two people at a time to come to your door. Because Christ sent out the disciples two at a time. On one occasion Peter had returned and said to Jesus. How grand, we cast out the demons, simply by saying your name. My point. The power resides in you.
We go through situations and struggles in life. At times some are large and at times minor things. Or we know someone or something that we need to pray for. Prayer is needed when as a man or woman, we can further do no more. But have to trust in God. The mistake is we ask God to do these things and hope he does. We are to busy asking God to look down and come down. When God is already down in you and asking you..LET ME OUT!!! Just as the Arch. God asks LET ME OUT!! The power is within you. Use the Faith of David, when he fought Goliath and see that you will walk through the greatest adversity, on Dry grounds. As the Children of Israel did the Sea. God will divide and clear your path so you can make it through. But stop asking God to come down. You have the power to proclaim Victory. Let God Out!!!!

40 years of life.
It is March first, and I am a few days away from turning 40. Yes, I will be 40! I have done many things over my 40 year life. I have traveled. I have lived in many states. I have traveled as far east as Long Island New York. To as far west as Waikiki Hawaii. As far down as Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. To as far north as Toronto Canada. I have loved and been loved. I have married and divorced. At 16 I had found out that Christ was waiting for me to seek him. I have preached in many churches. I have been on many platforms spreading the gospel. I have preached at a Jail in Massachusetts. I have preached on the radio there as well. I have performed singing and with my music. In many events and stages. House parties and concerts as well. I have played basketball all over the United States. No place like New York to play ball though. I enjoyed legendary parks like The Rucker. To 4th Street, downtown in the Village. I will never forget in the Bronx, I was about 25 years old. I watched a jump shot leave my teammates hands and dunked the rebound over a 6'9' guy on the follow. The crowd roar was love to me. I don't remember having much love in my life. So sports is where I got it from.
Those that know me, they can tell you. I was in the streets for a year. Trying to survive. I have been on my own since 14 years of age. Yes, I received plenty of help from Christian families and a few friends. And I even had genuine love from some of those people. But my mother passing away when I was 21 years old. My Father living in another state since my early teen years. I never had discipline and structure. I lived by what I saw and making plenty of mistakes. I learned what it is to need love from someone and have no one to give it. I struggled because lack of leadership and inexperience. But what I never realized was I was getting the greatest education a human can ask for. I learned how to succeed at life. I understood what it was to strive. To never say never. To stand up for myself. To conquer all my fears and know that I had to do for myself. To smile even when all I saw was darkness. To have faith and believe in the Lord above, to guide me through.
So now, I have refined myself. Played football and studied, Theology. Read up on culture, as well as travel to witness and see it first hand. I have a small business. Small, but it's all mine. I have been in Newspapers and on the News for both sports as well as my work as a Chef. I have overcome and conquered. I have a beautiful daughter who loves me. I continue to make my music. I still feel youthful and vibrant. Still go play basketball. Still love to go on roller coasters and enjoy my life. Live free and vibrant. So, I may have the wisdom of a 60 year old man, from my life. I may have refined myself and learned that knowledge is the key to success. I may not use my Brut force anymore. But I still feel and look 28.. So as I turn 40 years old. I wanna thank all those who have been a part of my life. Who have shaken my hand and wished me well. Who have shown me love. Who have been rude to me and mean. Because you also impacted my life and gave me drive and fire in my heart. My family who truly had my back. I thank you all for your places in my life. May God Bless you all.

The Mistake that was Tim Tebow
In the Mile High City of Denver, a controversy is brewing. The Denver Broncos have a Quarterback controversy. It's filled with many twist and problems that the organization has to deal with.
First off, the team is under new Management with John Elway, now in the front office. They brought in a new head coach and a new staff. The problem starts with the roster they inherited. The former coach Josh McDaniel tore apart a roster that may have been a player or two from competing with the AFC for championship status. The main piece he traded away, was franchise quarterback Jay Cutler. In effect that caused a trickle down effect. Peyton Hillis and Tony Sheffler where also traded away. These players are now excelling in other places for their respective teams. A few other guys were cut and let go or traded. But another one of those guys were Brandon Marshall.
Marshall, was there during the shooting and killing of then teammate Derrant Williams. Since then, he was not the same with the city. His frustration with the trading of his quarterback coupled with the murder of Williams led him to be traded. The offense was a mess.
Two of the guys brought in from these trades were quarterback, Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. Then drafted in a year later was, Tim Tebow. Despite the critics saying he was not NFL ready or good enough to play in the NFL. Josh McDaniels made more moves to select him in the first round. As a highly decorated college player and great personality. Tebow became a popular player before even playing.
It did not make sense though. With Orton and Quinn already on the roster. Why bring him in? As a second or third rounder, the pressure of playing him might not be as strong. It was his first round status that created the controversy. After the firing of Josh Mcdaniels. His project QB was left behind on the roster.
So this team has under preformed and has been horrid. In shambles after what Josh McDaniels did his best to destroy that roster. So Tebow is now given his chance. But he does not have the team to support him. So he will continue to look bad. The sad Part is, even though Kyle Orton was not getting the wins as a starter. The numbers were much better as well as the offense with him playing. The Tebow project is also going to have to deal with the Media. The Media is also talking about his playing mechanics. Decision making, and knowledge of the offense. As he is only with a few starts under his belt. The jury is still out. Maybe one day he will be a good quarterback. I feel by that time. The Broncos will no longer want him. The Mile high city is a rich traditional team, with the shadow of a legend in John Elway, in the front office. They want wins and excitement to begin soon. I don't think Tebow can provide that at this time. The problem is. If they don't ride it out with Tebow, are they willing to start all over again. That is a possibility. But the truth is, Tebow is not the problem, but he is not the answer either.

It's been a while!
It's been a while since I've logged on and written. Many things have happened. Football season is almost over. Basketball season is at the half way point. With all of life's up and downs, everything is normal. I have my health and have to be thankful for all that I do have. I am planning to make this 2011, the most positive year ever. I have done many things in my life. I have experienced coming in touch with Christ. I have experienced the birth of my daughter. I have traveled all across this great nation. I have been in a situation where I have slept on a street. I also have slept in a high class luxurious hotel. I have lived and experienced New York City, and have walked and enjoyed the night lights of Vegas. I have been to Hawaii, and enjoyed the ocean and waves of the pacific. As well as ride a submarine there and enjoy the beauty of the underwater world. I have been to many arena's and inside many stadiums. Played on many fields and experienced the roar of a crowd. Yet, I feel very driven to make this year the best I have ever had. I want to make my business a huge success. I want to have a smile on my face from enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Enjoying my cooking. Watching television. Sunsets and sun rises. I will start to get back to my work-outs. To enjoy my music loud. The year has just begun. I want to inspire you to do the same. Take control of the things in life that you can control. Make positive strides. If you can learn to enjoy yourself and all the small things around you that make your life special. You will have a much easier time finding your way to happiness, even when the larger problems come. Life is laced with experiences. Places you have been, fun you have had. Joy in a certain time or place. But life is not made up of those things. But what you do on a daily basis. Enjoy those small things and small miracles that are in your life. The smile of your children. The smell of fresh rain. Your health and wisdom. The feel of the sun on your face. You will see that this will make your life a great adventure everyday. God Bless and make this year a special year!!!

for 2011 inspire!
Inspiration in 2011
When we are going through our usual daily activities, at times we come across something that inspires. It can be as simple as a sound, a picture, a song, a persons actions. Maybe hearing a story being told about a person going against an incedible amount of odds, still achieving an unforseen goal. In my life I have found that because of all that I have been through, it made me have a high level of will power and determination. I found myself in the depths of poverty and stripped from all reason of hope. That in itself was what made me fight and say, I cannot give up. What value and worth is it to fight, and fight, to then give up? In my soul and spirit, I always felt the guidence of God to press forward. As an Army moving forward, at times there are casualties and fatalities but they unite even stronger and forge ahead to victory. In football, a running back collides with a linebacker at the goal line. The one that has the will power and more conviction to win, forges ahead. People who are watching this battle on the field, get inspired. Watching video coverage of September 11th. Looking at how the country united and bonded, it's an inspiration. All negative thoughts on race and creed were gone. All negative ideas about us as a nation were too gone. Just look into the eyes of a smiling child and you can see inspiration. It comes when all negative thoughts and actions are gone. Those who are inspired to do wrong and evil are not inspired, just conspiring to do wrong. Inspiration comes in all shapes and forms and it takes the effect, of changing, if even for a moment. Those that see and hear of it to become inspired. So as the year moves on, there will be much to achieve and goals to accomplish. Be sure to keep all the spirits of all around us high, by you yourself inspiring and being an inspiration.

Lessons
Hundreds of star fish were stranded on a beach. A boy started to throw them back into the ocean. A man tells the boy what are you doing. You cant save them all. There are too many. You can't make a difference. The boy picked up another star fish and threw it in. Then he said, I just made a difference to that one! Lesson!!
When you think you have nothing left. When you seem to be down and all the way out. That is when you are at your strongest. Because then you are willing to fight for your life!!!
One day a woman was set to go see her daughter that she hasn't seen since she gave her birth. At the time when she gave birth to her daughter. She was into drugs and not living a suitable life to raise a child. So the courts had her raised by her father. The family moved her away and raised her for 21 years without her knowing her mother. In that time her mother had cleaned up her act and become a devout Christian. Finally at the age of 21 the daughter wanted to meet her mother. She searched for her and found her. They communicated over the phone and planned a day to meet in person. The mother planned the trip and was so happy of this news. She went to church and told everyone. She was filled with pride and joy. The day came to go see her daughter. She got in a taxi taking her to the airport. On the way to the airport, the taxi's front two tires blew out. With there being only one spare, the cab driver could not fix the tires in time. The mother had missed her flight. She went home afterward and was highly upset. She told God, "how could you do this to me?! Now I have to do this all over again! I wanted to see my daughter! I was going to see her today after 21 years of suffering!" As she cried the telephone rang. It was a friend of hers, who told her to turn on the Television and see the news. The plane she was supposed to get on went down in the Atlantic Ocean and there were no survivors. Lesson!
